Hey guys, I didn't mean to become the organiser of this group, but now that I am, I actually can help many of you... I run my own business called SOCI4BLE, where I help young people break the ice with new people any time, any place.
Believe it or not, I used to be cripplingly shy and socially awkward myself when I was younger.
Through sheer force, practice, iteration and resilience, I managed to break through these mental barriers that were holding me back from so many opportunities my entire life prior to my transformation.
This event is for people who are in desperate need to fix up their social skills.
- 48% of young people in London spend most of their free time in their bedrooms.
- 19% of London’s young people spend most of their free time alone.
- 39% of young people in London don’t have opportunities to meet new people or make friends [SOCI4BLE teaches you to make connections ANYWHERE; you don't need a set event].
Agenda:
- A bit of theory on how to fix up your social skills.
- Open group discussion on current social fears [sitting in a circle].
- Role-play social exercises with the other members in the session.
- Forming new connections with people in the real-world.
This is an engaging, fun, unique, hands-on and practical and experiential workshop, where 80%-90% learning is experiential and practical [not your typical bog-standard theory-only workshop], as I strongly believe that is the only true way to learn.
