Jingle and Mingle, Toasts and Trails style! Let's bundle up and do a short night hike and then grab brews and grub after at Handlebar. This is a short 1.9 mile locals' favorite. This event has been a huge hit in years past and it's become a T&T tradition! Bring your headlamp, we'll be hiking in the dark.
Note: This hike is within the Colorado National Monument. There's a $25/per vehicle fee unless you have a pass. I'll be parked at the lunch loop parking lot just ahead of the entrance at 530pm (black Mazda CX5) if anyone wants to come hop in. If you have a pass, comment in the thread if you're up to ferry folks. Boots on trail 5:45pm firm-- it's cold peeps!
After our hike we'll rendezvous at Handlebar to warm up with a cup of good cheer and catch up on everyone's holiday plans. Festive attire encouraged. Let's see those ugly sweaters and conspicuous thermals!
Handlebar is a dandy trail stop with plenty of great apres-hike comfort food and sips. They have burgers, cowboy poutine, cheese curds, soups and salads, and a range of drinks options (beer, wine and ciders!).
