Silverdale Roundtable
Details
This Critique Group is located at the Community Partner Room in the Kitsap Mall
(Note: Both those wanting to publish in a traditional manner and those who prefer self-publishing are welcome. It is a weekly peer review group founded and hosted by Bob Schumacher. Picking a critique group is a very personal thing. Don't be discouraged if this group does not fit your needs. There are a lot of critique groups in Kitsap County, all with different styles and different people.)
Cost: FREE
If you are looking for feedback on your writing, bring something to critique. Be ready to critique.
Guidelines for submissions: Please bring 8-10 copies of a scene. Bob asks that it be double-spaced, 12pt. font and less than 2000 words (up to 7 pages). We normally allocate between 15-20 minutes per person depending on attendance.
How this roundtable works: The author listens while other participants read their work aloud. Afterward, those present provide equal parts positive and negative criticism until the author's time is up. In this meetup group, Bob asks that feedback concern the craft of writing. This group is open to fiction, memoirs, poetry, screenplays. It's not a social group. Bob usually arrives at 9am and we start at 9:30 AM and go until everyone's submission has been read. Occasionally it is as late as 12:30-1pm.
New contributors are welcome.
