Please kick off the New Year and join your book club friends at Roberto's Ristorante in Elmhurst to discuss "The Lion Women" of Tehren by Marjan Kamali.

This selection is s a captivating historical fiction story that paints a vivid portrait of Iran in the mid-20th century. Through the lens of two young women, Ellie and Homa, this novel explores themes of friendship, love and loss amid the tumultuous political landscape of the time. Kamali’s writing captures the beauty and complexity of Tehran and its people and explores how we are shaped by those we meet when we are young.
