Wentworth circular nr barnsley 11 mile

I lead this walk a while ago its flat with the odd bit of uphill 200 meters ish

11 mile ish..

BRING LUNCH

Meet at Elsecar train station, barnsley..
We head through fields for a while then come to wentworth village past a pretty church,,, into wentworth woodhouse estate...

We see the big stately home, a lake,, a few monuments and stuff

Head back a different route along the tops hopefully get a sunset and finishing at pub or heritage centre.

Train-- leeds at 9.09 changing in Barnsley arriving in Elsecar at 10.07

Car Parking-- some spots in the carpark at your own risk or on street parking dont block driveways etc

Trainers are only recommended for easy walks. Bring a coat just in case (this is Britain after all...) and extra layers if it is going to be cold.

Bring a packed lunch and snacks. Bring enough food & water to last the estimated time.

We recommend bringing some cash just in case. Especially if parking. Not everywhere is contactless yet.
