EXPERIENCED WALKERS DUE TO SOME WALK IN THE DARK
YOU MUST BRING A HEADTORCH/TORCH
LIMIT OF 20 PEOPLE DONT JUST SIGN UP IF CANT ATTEND ๐๐ผ
Meeting- Hope, Derbyshire train station
Distance - 11 mile
Ascent 500 meters/ moderate difficulty but harder in the dark
Train- leeds 10.11 changing trains in sheffield arriving at Hope, Derbyshire at 11.37...
Carparking- next to the station or on road parking nearby or in hope village we go past..
We leave hope behind and head uphill to loose hill via fields fairly steep, along the ridgeline,, some up and downs via back tor and mam tor then up again to rushup edge... By this time it should be getting slowly dark, wait for sunset and we'll chill and then go steady downhill via Winnits Pass...
Christmas falalalas in Castleton village a quick wander probably a quick pub stop then either down road back to hope or through fields

Check the weather (on multiple websites) before leaving your residence. Bring clothing & footwear suitable for the forecast. We advise you to bring walking boots for any medium or harder walk. Trainers are only recommended for easy walks. Bring a coat just in case (this is Britain after all...) and extra layers if it is going to be cold.
All proceeds go towards equipment for leading walks, group events & trips. A percentage will go to charities.
Bring a packed lunch and snacks. Bring enough food & water to last the estimated time.
We recommend bringing some cash just in case. Especially if parking. Not everywhere is contactless yet.
