Love to sing harmony? Visit our a cappella chorus rehearsal!

Westcoast Harmony Chorus is looking for women and marginalized genders of any age (teens welcome) who love to sing and perform, and want to improve in a team setting. We are devoted to excellence in our craft with a strong component of fun and personal challenge. Our director is a dynamic and accomplished International gold medal winning singer in our organization and has led the chorus to many gold medal accomplishments in Western Canada.

We are a member of Sweet Adelines International. In October 2018, we placed 13th in the world at the international competition in St. Louis, Missouri. In April 2019, we won first place at the Region 26 Chorus Competition in Surrey. This win entitled us to compete in the next International competition this past September 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona against the top choruses from around the world. We are extremely proud to say, we place 3rd in the Semifinals, and 6th place OVERALL! A huge achievement and testament to the commitment to musical excellence and drive our chorus has!

Our arrangements are in 4-part harmony, and include classic barbershop, tender ballads, jazz, and contemporary pop (think Pentatonix!). Each week we focus on a few songs, honing our skills in vocal production, expression, musicianship, and performance. Guests are welcome and encouraged to participate! For your first visit, we will pair you virtually with one of our leaders so that they can assess the best voice part for you.

We rehearse from 7:15-10:00pm every Wednesday evening in the Fleetwood area of Surrey, and are returning to in person rehearsals with the appropriate safety precautions in place (vaccine passports).
