Join us for a theater holiday classic (matinee performance) to be followed by dinner, wine & conversation!

**First up**:
Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol

Scrooge’s iconic journey from miser to humanitarian appears fresh and new in Neil Bartlett’s bold and highly-theatrical adaptation. Using a small ensemble of actors to bring the vast inhabitants of Dickens’ world to life (animate and inanimate alike) — everything from the merry Fezziwigs to Scrooge’s complaining lightbulb — this inventive production is sure to capture the imaginations of attendees and fill audiences with the magical spirit of the season.

Produced and performed by the renowned Shakespeare Theater of NJ, cited by a critic as “one of America’s half-dozen leading classical repertory companies." It is the longest-running classic theatre on the East Coast and NJ's largest professional theatre company dedicated to Shakespeare’s canon and other world classics.

We've secured tickets at a whopping 20% discount for this matinee show, which starts at 2:00pm. We'll enjoy the play, stay for the post-show "symposium" - which features lively post-show conversations between actors and audience (only offered at a handful of performances each season), after which we'll depart for dinner.

**Our dinner plans:**
We'll then delight our tastebuds dining at nearby Tahm Thai, a family-owned bistro in downtown Madison featuring savory traditional Thai cuisine with a French influence. Rated 4.5 stars (out of 5) on yelp, the [dinner menu](http://www.nahmmadison.com/dinner-menu.html) offers a range of reasonably-priced options, with some spicy options for those who wish to have;)

The restaurant is BYO, so feel free to bring an alcoholic beverage of your choice (a nice wine shop is two doors down if a last minute decision!). A parking lot behind restaurant or street parking are available.

**To attend:**
Ticket price is $68, and must be paid promptly upon sign up. *(Regular ticket prices are $83.50 + $5 booking fee = $88.50).* Dinner is each person pays for her own, multiply by 1.3 to include tax & tip.

Ticket cost (less $5) is refundable if someone from the waitlist is able to take your place.
