Westgate Biodiversity

Westgate Biodiversity is a group that provides volunteers with a chance to serve the wider community through park maintenance activities. Westgate Biodiversity is unusual in that it is the primary day to day manager for Westgate Park, with its own vision for the Park. Parks Victoria is the secondary manager. Activities undertaken include path maintenance (removing fallen trees & vegetation growing onto paths), establishing and maintaining representative samples of Melbourne's original vegetation (seed collection, propagation, planting & weeding), collecting rubbish, and monitoring of our ever so cute microbats.
