Nature Walk at Black Bear Wilderness Trail
Details
This one is a Group favorite, an approximate 7.1 mile loop trail along the St. Johns River, but of course individuals can easily double back at any time if they don't feel up to the full distance...
Several boardwalks provide passage over wet areas and there is a good chance that you may encounter River Otter, Wild Boar, Snakes, Birds, and Alligator...Some have reported seeing Black Bear, but I'm hoping we are not so fortunate/unfortunate. Some parts of the trail are along boardwalks, while other are along rough, uneven terrain, so we get a really good combination...About 1/2 way through, we take a short lunch break...
I recommend comfortable walking/hiking shoes, Deep Woods bug spray, sunscreen, fluids for hydration, snacks/food, and your spirit of adventure and fellowship, but we do live by the creed "Hike Your Way"...Be ready to get fresh air, exercise, engage in diverse conversations, and make some new Connections!!
If you need to cancel, please change your RSVP from "YES" to "NO". We realize things can change and it's not a big deal if you change your RSVP. Thank you....Thank you...JAP3
