Overnight Camping at Black Bear Wilderness Trail

You have asked for it, so now we are doing it...In preparation for future Through-Hikes on the AT, we are going to begin Monthly Camping/Hiking Adventures, starting at Black Bear; a familiar place where Members should feel comfortable...

The plan is to meet in the parking lot at 3:00, hike the 3.5 miles to the campsite and set up camp...Depending on the interest of the Attendees we can then do a Night Hike, cook around the campfire, tell spooky stories or all of the above...For those not familiar with BB, there are several boardwalks that provide passage over the wet areas and there is always a chance we may encounter River Otter, Wild Boar, Snakes, Birds, Alligators or Black Bears...Be ready to get fresh air, exercise, engage in diverse conversations, and make some new Connections!!

On Sunday morning at 9, I have scheduled a Group Hike, we can either pack out prior to or join them when they reach the campsite for their lunch stop.
