Overnight Camping at Hidden Pond - Ocala National Forest

In our continued preparation for future Through-Hikes on the AT, we are adding a few more miles to our Monthly Camping/Hiking Adventure, Juniper Springs North towards Hidden Pond via the Florida Trail...The specific campsites will be determined based on what's available when we arrive since they are First come First served...

The plan is to meet in the parking lot at 3:00, hike the 5'ish miles to the campsite and set up camp...Depending on the interest of the Attendees we can then do a Night Hike, cook around the campfire, tell spooky stories or all of the above...For those not familiar with this area, it is listed as a pleasant hike that follows a creek to the oasis of Hidden Pond...It is a very well-maintained trail that can become overgrown during some parts of the summer...The path travels through a forest as well as exposed sections and sun protection is advised...There are many opportunities to view wildlife and local flowers along the way...Be ready to get fresh air, exercise, engage in diverse conversations, and make some new Connections!!
