2025 WikiCon Christchurch Ōtautahi

Christchurch WikiCon is the annual gathering for editors of Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikisource projects organised by Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand (WANZ). In 2025, the conference will be held in Ōtautahi Christchurch, with the goal of introducing Wikimedians to Ōtautahi.

This event will provide opportunities for editors and contributors to connect face-to-face, helping to create collaborative relationships. The conference will also provide opportunities for editors and contributors to share and develop their skills and knowledge in working with Wikimedia projects.

We are offering full scholarships (registration, travel, accommodation and meals) to attend so please contact [email protected] for more information. Available scholarships will be allocated on a "first come, first served" basis. Apply now and don't miss out.
