### 2024 NZ Species Edit-a-thon

Join us for a fun, hands-on New Zealand Species Edit-a-thon at Ōtari-Wilton's Bush, proudly supported by Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand and Wellington City Council.

Whether you're new to Wikipedia or a seasoned editor, this event, held over two Saturdays, is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills while contributing to the world's most comprehensive encyclopedia.

Guided by experienced Wikipedians, you'll have the chance to improve articles focused on New Zealand's unique native flora and fauna. Bring your own laptop, and we'll provide all the training and resources you need to get started on Day 1 and extend your skills and contributions on Day 2.

Unlock the wonders of New Zealand's biodiversity and collaborate with fellow nature enthusiasts. Together, we'll explore, learn, and share the beauty of our native plants and animals with the world. Come along for a rewarding experience that blends education, fun, discovery, and community spirit!

This Edit-a-thon will be held over two Saturday workshops: from 10am - 4pm on both 19th October 2024 and 2 November 2024 at Leonard Cockayne Centre, Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush
