Day 1: Saturday December 21st 2024 - starting at Mt. Laguna visitor center (which is 0.8 mile north from PCT mile 41.5.)

Meet at 07:00 no later than 07:30am so we can start hiking at 08:00am
This will be a Southbound (SoBo) hike. Going through Burnt Rancheria CG to join the PCT at mile 41.5.
Starting elevation is 5,913 feet and dropping down to 3,185 feet to Boulder Oaks Campground at PCT mile 26. Pit toilets and water spigots.
16.5 miles of downhill hiking/backpacking, including breaks and stopping for lunch. We should arrive by 3-4pm with daylight left for setting up camp, with dinner on picnic tables :)
Day 2: Sunday December 22nd 2024 SoBo 6 miles to Lake Morena campground. Some uphill to start, then rolling and some easy up and downs.
The Malt Shop will be open for any one who wants to grab lunch, burger or milkshake before heading off home.
CAR STAGING: would be great if a few folks can meet at Lake Morena CG at or before 06:00am. Then at 06:30am to stage a vehicle, and drive up to the starting point, Mt. Laguna visitor center. Also, be willing to drive back up to starting point for those of us who will park at the start. Thanks in advance!!
At Lake Morena CG park in the large gravel space on the left before entering the park, its free and no permit required.
