Planting and woodchip spreading in Oaken Grove Park

We are meeting up with Friends of Oaken Grove Park to help underplant and sow the new orchard and wild flower beds with spring flowering bulbs and wild flowers.

Please meet at the new orchard which is between the cafe and the playpark by the avenue of trees. Carparking is available at Oaken Grove.

Bring gardening gloves and something to kneel on plus a trowel/bulb planter if you have one. There will be some tools available. Please ensure that you wear warm clothes and tough shoes (it will be muddy).

If you would like to help spread the woodchip we recommend you wear a facemask in case of potential fungal spores.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by their guardian.
