Looking for a fun, social activity in a friendly environment with engaging and lively music? Come try Scottish Country Dancing! We meet on Thursday evenings from 7-9 in the heart of Williamsburg to learn and enjoy the traditional social dances of Scotland: reels, jigs, and strathspeys!
No dance experience or partner is required - our classes are always open to beginners. Our weekly meetings teach the basic steps and figures as needed, and help build the skills to attend dance parties and balls in Richmond, Charlottesville, and elsewhere! (Scottish Country Dancing is enjoyed across the nation and around the world!) In addition, we're a friendly and welcoming group who enjoy each others' company and the social aspects of the dance. We are always eager to greet new dancers!
Covid policy (effective 1/1/2024): We are no longer requiring masks, but reserve the right to reinstate a mask policy should covid numbers change. We do ask that attendees be vaccinated, and please stay home if you are ill.
