This is the Cheers version of Chicago soccer groups where everyone knows your name. We were all strangers at one point but have come together for weekly soccer games & post game chats. The goal of this group is to have fun & meet new people along the way whether you are a visitor or regular.

If you are looking for an ultra competitive soccer group this is not it. We may or may not keep score & even then it may not be right as that is not the intended purpose of this group. Disrespect of any member will not be tolerated. Please refrain from excessive coaching.

Join us for some friendly Fall Co-Ed pick up soccer on a grass field, cleats are recommended but not required. We’re meeting at Peterson Park. Games can range from 3v3 through 8v8 depending on the number of participants that particular event. We play rain or shine unless there is lightning or a snow storm.

Look for the white goals. There’s parking on Central Park or in the lot behind the field house. There may also be other groups playing soccer as well so please make sure it’s this meetup group.

All levels are welcomed but if group leadership deems you not a good fit for the group after a few visits we will have a conversation with you. This isn’t about ability as people can improve but rather overall fit to the flow of the group.

Please be respectful & only RSVP if you can actually make it. If you cannot make the meetup please make sure to change your RSVP at least an hour prior to the game. Three no show RSVP’s will get you banned from the group. Hope to see you Saturday!

Kick ins not throw ins

No corners- Kick in from the first cone

Restart after a goal is from midfield

No sliding is allowed other than to block a shot/pass or to save a ball but both require that no other players be in the direct vicinity that can result in physical contact. Let’s keep each other safe with challenges.

For weekend games please signup for only one event. If there are open spots 24 hours prior to another weekend event you are interested in you may signup. The goal of this is to give as many members an opportunity to participate in events. Thank you.
