### Wise Self Adventures presents The Wise Woman Book Lab: The Way of Integrity by Martha Beck.
Have you ever read a book and wanted to talk about it with everyone you met?
Have you ever had a book completely change things for you?
Do you wish you could find the time to read more?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we think you will love The Wise Women's Book Lab.
Come join us for The Wise Women's Book Lab! This "experiential book club" group focuses on books that help you experiment, hone, and grow your wisdom for a more authentic, powerful, and contented life. Using powerful books as a backdrop and guidance, we will experiment with moving into our life more completely, creatively and congruently to be who we really are. In other words, You and Your Life, only better! At the Wise Women's Book Lab, we will access the support of a group of women who are open to moving into more Self wisdom, awakeness and wholeness.
Bring your copy of The Way of Integrity by Martha Beck and your mug (for tea or coffee) for a few minutes of socializing. At 10am we will gather to have an interactive discussion and sharing time.
Meeting for 4 Saturdays. Sept 7, Oct 5, Nov 2, and Dec 7 10-12noon.
The Dilworth (Charlotte, NC) address will be provided upon registration.
### This group is for you if
You are a woman, identify as a woman, or identify as nonbinary.
Mixed groups and mens groups in the future are a possibility.
You are looking for more clarity, personal power, and contentment in your life.
The title of the book and the excerpt seems appealing to you.
Not every book is for every person. If the featured book doesn't give you a spark of curiosity, please watch for our next Book Lab 2025 which will be announced in December 2024.
Not sure? Look up the book reviews online to give you a sense about how others experience the book.
You can easily, happily and or expectantly read 100- 150 pages in a window of 4 weeks.
If you have dread or anxiety about needing to read a certain amount, the Book Lab may not be for you. This is a small group format that uses each member of the group to contribute their wisdom to the fellowship and learning from the wisdom in the book.
You are looking for a group with good listeners and thoughtful speakers.
Our format will support everyone participating in both listening and speaking. Our intention is to experiment with how it feels to speak and listen as a vital part of growing our wisdom. That means that each member has an important role.
If you are still looking to find "your people" or more of "your people".
This group has an underlying assumption/bias (it is a lab to experiment after all!). The underlying idea that we will test out is that people who are drawn to the same kinds of books and types of fellowship will tend to be like-minded. Take a look at the book, and see if it is "calling you".
If you are willing and able to commit 2 hours for 4 Saturdays (2.5 hrs if you come to the pre-lab time to socialize over coffee and tea). This book lab will meet on the 1st Saturday of each month Sept 2024-Dec 2024. The Dilworth location will be provided when you register.
We invite you to come to our first Book Lab and see if it is an experience that draws you in. We hope that you will feel comfortable making an intentional commitment to make the Book Lab a priority for attendance. We hope you can make a commitment to growth and the joyful adventure of focusing on you and your life, only better!
