What we’re about
Woking Ramblers is an active, small and friendly walking group with members from diverse backgrounds. We enjoy invigorating walks through stunning countryside in the western half of Surrey and sometimes, east Berkshire, north east Hampshire or West Sussex.
Each week, we typically have at least two, 5-7 mile walks — sometimes further, on various days of the week, including usually on Saturdays. Our walks are generally of a leisurely or moderate nature over unsurfaced rural paths and are not overly strenuous. See our Woking Ramblers website for fuller details and information about weekday walks. Only weekend walks are posted on our Meetup group.
Many of these walks are in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is protected land. Other walks may include features of significant historical note or Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
We welcome visitors from other Ramblers groups or guests trying out one or two Ramblers walks before joining.
