What we’re about
Wolf Pack MTB is an organization of MTB cyclists that enjoy mountain biking at the many superb trail systems in the Colorado Springs area. If you mountain bike and would like company while enjoying the sport of cycling then check us out. Since we are going riding anyway, we'd like to give you an opportunity to join in and have some fun, ride new trails or share your favorites and meet fellow mountain biking enthusiasts. Our goal is to ride all four seasons to stay conditioned all year 'round. We do “Urban Trail” rides locally occasionally and when weather, especially mud, keep us off the single track. We also go night riding when the days are short in winter. Our most often ridden trail system is Palmer Park, but we try to hit all the fun loops in our area over the course of a year. Wolf Pack MTB is a great way to find riders similar to your ability. Most of our singletrack experiences are 5 to 25 miles in distance and 1 to 5 hours in duration. This is a growing dynamic group with members often setting up rides among themselves and not all rides will be published on this page.
If you are new to mountain biking or it has been a while since you've been on your bike, pay special attention to the ride description and feel free to contact an organizer for advice/information on our upcoming rides. We like to help those looking to improve their skill/fitness level. Wolf Pack MTB recognizes we do not all ride at the same pace or skill level, so our policy is "no rider left behind" unless specifically mentioned in ride description. We adjust our rides as needed, within reason, to accommodate all riders so everyone can enjoy this great sport!
All riders must wear a helmet and have adequate hydration for the ride, and it is highly recommended to carry a spare tube, a pump (or air cartridges), a simple tool and first aid kit.
Difficulty/Description: Rides will vary technically and aerobically. The pace is determined by the ride leader based on the cyclists participating. We will do our best to give you an understanding of what to expect for terrain/distance/time, etc. so you can make the best decision as to the options best fitting your abilities. We encourage the suggestion of rides that interest you and fit your schedule.
The unfortunate but necessary DISCLAIMER... In case you are unaware, mountain biking on roads and trails has inherent risks. This includes potential INJURY and even DEATH, from cars, trees, the ground, other riders, dehydration, hypothermia, heat exhaustion, mechanical failures, and so forth. Your involvement in group activities indicates you understand these risks and acknowledge YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your health and well being while participating in pre/during/post ride activities related to this group.
