What we’re about
This is a group for women in West Lothian Scotland. I’ve lived in the area for years and still feel Edinburgh has all the groups and frankly I can’t be bothered with town anymore so thought it time I started my own local group!
We’ll start with drinks, coffees and lunches and then maybe think about films or other local stuff.
Most Meetup’s will be set to a maximum of 8 people to allow everyone to feel
Included and chat.
I’m aiming to do something every couple of weeks. Events are going to be mainly weekends although might do the odd cinema trip mid week.
We are implementing a couple of new rules from January 1st 2024
- all Meetups will have a £1 fee collected on arrival to help cover the £22 a month cost of the Meetup subscription.
- any member who RSVPs yes to an event and then changes their mind within 24 hours of it starting and does that 3 times will be removed from the group. We’ve unfortunately had this behaviour occur a few times in our first year and it’s led to people missing out on events and even one venue complaining that we didn’t arrive with the full number of people we had booked for. We recognise that people’s
plans change but it’s also important that people try to only RSVP yes if they really expect to be able to attend.
