Merry Christmas/Yankee Gift Swap

Carmelita has settled into her new place on the river in North Shore and would like to host our Yankee gift swap for Christmas 2024. This is limited to women this year due to concerns about how much space that she has (it is a new setting for her). Address will only be posted via direct message. You can reach out to either Carmelita or myself.
She indicated that she will supply a honey baked ham (YUM!) but we should each bring a side, dessert, or appetizer. I will bring rolls and mac and cheese.

Yankee gift swap game rules:

• Each participant brings a wrapped gift to the exchange. Gifts should be around $30-35.
• Participants draw numbers to determine the order of turns. The person with the lowest number goes first.
• The first person chooses a gift from the pile, opens it, and keeps it. On subsequent turns, players can either take an unopened gift or “steal” an opened gift from someone else. A gift can only be “stolen” 3 times. If a player's gift is “stolen”, they can either take a new gift or “steal” again. There are no “steal’ backs.
• The game ends when everyone has a gift. The first player can choose to swap their gift after the last number has been called.
• The environmentalist in me says no gag gifts. I seriously do not want a Chia Pet :-).
