For thousands of years, our ancestors looked with a mixture of hope and anxiety to the rebirth of the sun at the winter solstice. Today, the long dark nights of the season are brightened by holiday lights and celebrations with friends and family - but on the flipside, seasonal depression, stress and commercialism can make this a challenging time of year for many.

Today, we'll take a look at the origins of familiar Yule customs, and we'll discuss self-care tips to help us get through this busy and intense season. Our special drum journey and magickal intention will focus on what we want to birth/bring to the light in the new year.

Please dress comfortably, and feel free to bring drums, rattles or other instruments, along with a journal for recording any insights received on your journey. Also feel free to bring an item to put on the altar during our circle.

Doors open at 7:00 pm and close at 7:30 pm (locked at 7:50 PM); circle ends at 10:30 PM (our ritual circles run a little longer than usual). Please RSVP to ensure your space. Some backjacks, chairs, pillows and yoga blankets will be available. If possible, you might want to bring your own pillow or blanket to help make sure that you're comfortable during the circle, especially if you plan to journey lying down on the floor. You might also want to bring a light wrap or sweater in case the AC is acting up! :)

Parking is along the left-hand driveway when facing the complex (to the left of the Sol Studio); plentiful parking is available in the field with the "Additional Parking" sign. We will be meeting in the Luna Studio, on the right when facing the complex.
