What we’re about

Our hikes are “workout” hikes. That means we hike hard and fast. Our pace will generally be between 15 and 18 minutes per mile, although sometimes we get close to 14. We also like hills - big hills. In short, our hikes are "workout" hikes. Spare shirts are recommended.

We also like adventures. Sometimes it's just an overnight camping trip and a picnic. A few times a year we'll plan a long weekend trip someplace cool. Previously we have had adventures in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, northwest Arkansas and Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore in Traverse City. We have plans for West Virgina and Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. Cool outdoorsy places.

We are a select group of serious, but fun, hikers. We have several event organizers that take turns leading our adventures.

The group is private - meaning only members can see event details or respond to specific events. Membership is free but requires a sponsor from one of the existing members. Just mention one of the existing members on the entry application. We will confirm the sponsorship before approving the membership.

We are a welcoming and diverse group. If you like the outdoors, hanging out with fun people and a getting a good workout, you will like this group.
