This "winter version" informational event is sponsored by Kula Cloth and is for anyone who wants to join. It will be taught by Wes Cooper, a Search and Rescue volunteer for over 20 years.

Wes will share real life rescue stories and insights as a SAR professional. He will give practical tips on avoiding common backcountry mistakes and what to do if something does go wrong as well as winter safety tips.

This free/donation optional event is designed for everyone from the new hiker to the experienced backpacker. Whether a sprained ankle, sudden weather shift or a wrong turn it can happen to all of us.

This event includes a Q&A session at the end.
