Let's toast the return of the light while celebrating the end of darkness. We will be hiking the Bullitt Fireplace Trail, leaving from the Mountainside Trailhead. Bring your sit pad, beverage, headlamps and twinkly lights as we raise a glass to celebrate.

The hike a 2 mile (one way) forest trail on the north side of Squak Mountain. We will be hiking to reach the former cabin site which was owned by the Bullitt Family. Only the massive fireplace and the foundation remain.

**Reminder:** DO NOT KEEP VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLES. Break-ins are happening everywhere. Keep your essentials on you and leave nothing in your car.

We live in the Northwest so if it rains we will still walk. Bring your umbrellas, rain gear and appropriate shoes for all kinds of weather.

**Driving Directions:**
From I-90 (Exit 17) in Issaquah, head south on Front Street through the picturesque old part of town. At the traffic light at Sunset Way, turn right. In 0.2 miles cross SE Newport Way, then bear left onto Mountain Park Blvd SW. This street changes direction abruptly several times. In about 0.7 miles bear left onto Mountainside Dr SW. In about 0.3 miles, where the street makes a very sharp turn to the left, pull into the small parking area on the right. There is room for about six cars here.

**Please dress for the weather, it will most likely be chilly once the sun goes down. Also, don't forget the 10 essentials.**

**What else should I pack?** Sit pad, headlamp, sparkly lights (optional, but why not?), water, warm beverage of your choice, snacks, appropriate clothing and shoes per the weather and activity, extra pair of shoes, hand sanitizer, toilet paper and cash for your driver. Please also bring micro spikes, just on case.
