a) JOIN Zoom a few minutes early by clicking on link. (You will be in a “waiting room”).
b) WAIT for the Zoom host to let you in. Please make sure there are no background distractions and/or noises. Thanks.
c) From 7-8pm, be prepared to say your name, book title/author, why you chose this book, and read a short paragraph aloud.
NOTE: All “Chat” comments must be respectful.
6 TIPS FOR READING ALOUD
- Enunciate clearly!
- Slow down! Speak more slowly than you think necessary. Slower–– still!
- Make eye contact. Look up! (at your camera).
- Turn up the volume. Project!
- Practice reading aloud in front of a mirror. Practice!
- It’s OK to feel awkward, just laugh at yourself. Relax!

CHRISTINE MOUGHAMIAN / (Brief) BIO

Christine mentors writers to write and complete their compelling stories.
She holds a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Bordeaux, France.Christine serves as the NC Writers’ Network Coastal Representative and the Organizer of The Wilmington Write To Publish Group, a Meetup community of over 1650 writers.
Christine was the Judge of the 2018 Writing For Children Contest for Shoal, The Literary Journal of the Carteret Writers. She won First Prize of the 2012 Fall Memoir Contest offered by the Writers’ Workshop of Asheville. She has published personal essays, interviews, poems, short stories and photographs in local and international magazines.
Christine is well loved in our community for her inspiring stories of personal transformation and her fun, interactive writers’ workshops. She traveled around the world until she found Wilmington, NC, which she is happy to call home.
HEATHER WHITE / BIO
Heather White is a writer and IT professional based in Wilmington, NC. She holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Stephens College in Columbia, MO.Heather's work has been published in the 1999 Stephens College "Harbinger" Chapbook as well as "Inklings: Selections from Workshops at Inkberry," Vol I.
Heather produced her play, "Jack and the Beanstalk, 2.0" as a one-woman puppet show (Manchester Community Library, Manchester, VT). She has participated in professional and community theatre in Vermont, Missouri, New York, and Iowa.
Heather grew up in upstate New York and lived in Vermont. Her experience of the people and their relationship with the landscape inspires much of her writing.
