Backpacking at Twin Creek Metropark

Overnight backpack camping event, geared towards beginners! Feel free to discuss in comments or direct message trip leader (Ryan Otte) if have questions regarding necessary gear to hike to the campsite and have a comfortable night at camp. ✌️

IMPORTANT:
***Required to provide vehicle info to park overnight. Five Rivers Metroparks rangers need to know what vehicles will be staying overnight in their lot. By the day before trip, provide vehicle info to trip leader via Meetup.com direct message and I can call the Metroparks staff to update the permit.

  Of course, feel free to work out carpooling arrangements via comments as needed, and trip leader can pick up three people if need.

Less important:
* Distance: about 1.5 miles one way to campsite, 3miles round trip
* The capacity is 6 for the permit. Another site is available currently to maybe add another 6 if that is desired (of course, that site could be reserved already by that point, direct message trip leader Ryan Otte if want to get in on this fun with two sites).
* Permit cost is $7 without alcohol consumption capability. If you want to chip in a few dollars cash to share in the permit cost, not required on my part, though appreciated. If want to consume alcohol, notify me as trip leader as soon as you can.
* Feel free to strike up a conversation in the comments below to make sure you have all the gear or knowledge for a relaxing time. I will keep tabs on the comments or feel free to direct message if desired for preparation questions.

The backpacking sites are awesome within the Five Rivers Metroparks system. Great day hikes around the park can be had once we set up camp. Cheers!
