Happy weekend! Sunday morning hike

Join us for a late morning hike in the beautiful McKay Community Forest on Harris. This hike is approximately 2.2 miles long with 250ft of elevation gain and is rated as "easy" on AllTrails. It should take about an hour, give or take. Well-behaved and leashed furry friends are welcome!

It's not supposed to rain before the hike, but parts of the route may be muddy, so wear boots/shoes you don't mind getting dirty.

There's plenty of parking on the street. Please do not drive down the dirt road!

This beautiful route undulates through the forest and makes a loop in the far north corner of the park, near the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. It starts at Harris Street and undulates along a forested trail that borders the fairgrounds before looping back on the R-2 Road. The route is under a dense canopy of trees with seasonal streams and wildflowers that bloom in the spring.
