A circular walk from the Woodman Pub, Wakefield Road, Clayton West of about 9 miles, taking in part of Bretton Sculpture Park and the old Roman iron workings near Emley. A perfect opportunity to walk off the Christmas excess, or a good excuse to leave the house whilst everyone else is finishing the Christmas left overs.

The weather could throw anything at us so please come prepared with the correct equipment, and bring food/drink for a snap stop (mince pies, Christmas cake, pork pie and turkey trimmings are more than acceptable) and Christmas hats are welcomed.

We'll have a drink after around the roaring fire of the Woodman Pub. £1 fee which covers the cost of the meetup fee.

Yorkshire and Beyond Walking group hosts do not have formal walk-leader or first-aid qualifications and the group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. The group requires you to respect the event host and be mindful of the safety of others.
