(On a Sunday morning?)

Trinity Cafe is a free restaurant, serving more than 380+ hot and hearty meals daily, at two locations, 365 days a year. Serving the hungry is a meaningful and life-changing experience. A compassionate heart and the desire to interact and serve a meal to the homeless and the hungry is all that is required.

Trinity Cafe has a 10 volunteer limit on groups, and groups must register in advance to secure a spot. Please RSVP early, and update your RSVP if you are unable to attend. I will be registering our group May 1 or once 10 people have RSVP'd (whichever comes first)

Since this is an all-volunteer organization it is imperative that when we schedule our group we fill all of the spots that we reserve. If we have 10 going, they need all 10 to show up! Trinity Cafe requests a 1 week notice prior to the volunteer date so they have time to fill the cancelled spots.

Important!!

* Must wear close-toed shoes.
* Volunteers are expected to arrive no later than 8:30am

Hi Isaac, Eti, and Quinton,
I apologize for leaving this a bit up in the air, but let me share with you that this is a bit challenging to schedule. In a good way, Feeding Tampa Bay seems to have lots of volunteers. So generally, we have to sign up for volunteer spots often a month in advance. Also, the "Breakfast" is only on weekends, but again, apparently lots of other willing volunteers, so we have to look ahead. (I'm including links to their calendars in Reply, below.)
Do you know of any alternate volunteer sites that we could volunteer at?? If not, we'll probably pick a Sat/Sun morning and plan \~6 weeks ahead!

Trinity Cafe also offers lunch Monday-Friday, including on Monday, Jan. 15th, but no volunteer spots are open. (Other than holidays, I work most weekdays, but perhaps selected group members might be available and willing.)

Feeding Tampa Bay is a great cause a very popular -- so popular that it can be tough to find multiple open volunteer spots (for a group) wiomthout looking way ahead. Right now, for next Sunday morning, not clear if any spots are open, so let me try to reach out to them offline.
In general, it would be great to do more volunteering/philanthropic activity! Input welcome.
Hi Eti, Quinton, and Jorge,
I'm sorry, I didn't get to stop by Trinity Cafe today on my way to weekend work. Also, I haven't heard from anyone telling me that they've already signed up for a volunteer spot. So given that the web site showed no openings for this coming Sunday, and lacking additional information, I'm going to pull the plug on this post, rather than push it back.
What I hope we do is give upcoming volunteer efforts a fresh start with a new event -- please let me know if you are motivated to create any new meetup events! And I'm not giving up on this for the future (we have done it in the past), but from a group standpoint, it may require connection with staff at Feeding Tampa Bay.
