General information:
Welcome to Zoom Tangling. Sue Schneider will guide you through this meditative drawing art form. Step-by-step, you will learn the basic process for creating a small, abstract design using repetitive pattern skills. Zentangle is easy, relaxing and stress-free; perfect for "these challenging times".

Our session will begin at 6:30 p.m. You may wish to arrive earlier to get everyone signed-in, settled, relaxed and focused.

There are 2 sessions each month, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. Each session features a new lesson. Our sessions explore a variety of themes and topics; always working with the basic concepts of Zentangle but often with new pattern introductions and techniques (e.g., shading, color, non-abstract, use of tinted papers, etc.).

SUPPLIES NEEDED: Please provide a standard pencil, a fine tipped black marker, and paper on which to draw. Optional: Tortillion (blending stub), colored pencils, white and red fine tipped markers.

Supplies advice:
Pen recommendations: Sakura Pigma Micron 01; Uniball Vision Micro; Sharpie Fine "No Bleed". Paper: We usually work on a 3.5" square paper (called a "tile"). Good quality papers that work well are Strathmore Vellum Bristol, 95# or 140# water color paper, a "Mixed Media" sketchbook, 65# card stock. Lately, I have often used a 4x6" blank index card will work.

DONATIONS: Class is free, but donations are appreciated and encourage your instructor. You may use Paypal ([email protected]) or mail cash/check to Sue Schneider,511 Bevington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15221.

Please feel free to invite friends. They will need to sign up as Meet-up members (it's free) and RSVP to this meeting in order to get the link.

Happy tangling to all,
Sue
