Poetry Slam with optional pre-event bar bites

Slack Key Lounge (mauka of Ala Moana Center) hosts a Poetry Slam once a month. I've wanted to go for a long time and finally got it on my calendar for November 2024. It's usually 4th Thursday, but due to Thanksgiving it's 3rd Thursday. I'm planning to get a ticket at the door; it's $10 online. More info: Slack Key Lounge

Optional: Mara Restaurant is down the street--I've dined there twice and it is EXCELLENT (Mediterranean inspired). I plan to go for bar bites and a beverage around 5:15-5:30pm. They do not take reservations for the bar. Pau Hana is 4-5 M-F, but it is usually very crowded. So, I plan to get there just after the rush has passed, have a nosh, and walk down to Slack Key by 7pm.
