What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for an out-n-back walk on the Lotterdale Cove Branch Trail (5K/3.1 mi. and 10K/6.2 mi.) in Greenback, TN. The trail is part of the East Lakeshore Trail system. We will also plan to have an optional lunch at Calhoun's, Lenoir City following our walks for those who are interested. The East Lakeshore Trail system does allow pets.
When: Saturday, March 8th, 2025. The 10K walkers leave at 9:00am and the 5K group will leave at 10:00am. Try to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.
Where: We will meet in the Lotterdale Cove Recreation Area parking lot. Look for the "Neon Green Shirts", as we will be your guides for this walk.
GPS Note: GPS indicates to turn on Bellview Rd (on both sides of East Coast Tellico Parkway) the street sign still says JACKSON CEMETERY RD on the west side. Take Jackson Cemetery Rd to the parking area at the end.
NO Restrooms: Their are no restrooms at the trailhead. Please plan to stop on your way. Consider stopping in Lenoir City from the North or at Greenback Market & Deli, 6525 Hwy 411 if coming from Maryville.
Details: The Lotterdale Cove Branch is a wooded walk on natural dirt trails with very little elevation changes (less than 200 ft). This would be rated a 1C walk with the AVA rating scale.
Registration: This is an American Volksport Association (AVA) sanctioned club walk and we have a modest $3.00 fee per walker, payable to the walk leader when you arrive, to cover sanctioning fees and insurance costs. Exact change appreciated.
