What we’re about
Iowa City Climate Advocates is the Iowa City chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby, a nonprofit, volunteer, grassroots advocacy organization committed to creating the political will to deal with climate change. We engage in climate advocacy on the local, state, and national levels. On the national level, we meet with our Senators and Representatives to discuss a carbon fee and dividend plan for putting a price on carbon. Locally, we are active in promoting sustainable development in the Iowa City / Johnson County area and join forces with other local environmental groups like 100 Grannies and Environmental Advocates.
