What we’re about
Unity of Walnut Creek embodies a positive path for spiritual living. We present practical, spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living. We're located in the East Bay of the S.F. Bay Area, specifically in central Contra Costa County in the city of Walnut Creek. We offer Sunday services, prayer support, a book center, and many classes, special events and workshops to enhance personal and spiritual growth and foster wholeness in mind-body-spirit. Go to our website to learn more about Unity, to view archived videos of our Sunday services, and, on Sundays, to watch live a broadcast of our 11:30 service. You can also find us on Facebook.

See all- Sheng Zhen Qigong - Via ZoomUnity of Walnut Creek, Walnut Creek, CA
We all need self-care tools to get us through this challenging time. Sheng Zhen Qigong is one of those tools.
This weekly class covers simple but profound movement and meditation practices that help keep your spirits up, your emotions balanced, your body healthy, and your heart open to the experience and power of unconditional love.
Instructor Alison Tucker will lead you in a practice of “Sheng Zhen Healing” Stage I and at least part of Stage II. That practice is done SITTING IN A CHAIR without arms, such as a typical dining room chair. If you don’t have an armless chair or chair-height stool, you can adapt the movements as needed.
Guidelines for participants
• Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move easily.
• If you can’t do a movement, modify it as needed or just imagine doing the movement. Visualizing a movement has many of the same benefits as doing it. Or just rest with the intention of soaking up the healing energy.
• Regarding Zoom, it is up to you whether or not you want your video on. Leaving it on gives Alison feedback about whether her teaching is clear and how you are responding. If your video is on, please follow her movement pace. (If everyone is in sync, it is easier for her to see how people are following the movements. Being in synch may also give the group a sense of coherence.)
• Remember that the benefits of the practice come from learning to let go, not from force. Relax and enjoy the practice. To access the Zoom link, go to Join Zoom Meeting
