Have you lost your faith in humanity? If so, then join us for a meeting to re-enchant your relationship with the human species. It's time to shed misanthropy and celebrate the human spirit with all its potential.
Much fashionable nonsense has been spouted across the last several decades attacking humankind's ability to reason, cooperate, and build institutions grounded in freedom. The point of Agitate is to promote direct democracy in the tradition of the legacy of the Enlightenment, to rediscover the humanist attitude, and build a mass movement for the sake of restoring hope in the future. After all, if there's no trust in our fellow man and woman, how are we going to overcome the the gravest challenges of our era, including climate meltdown, nuclear conflict, and the collapse in living standards?
It's one thing to recognise the human capacity for tremendous evil, but quite another to write off the human race as inherently so.
This event will be a facilitated discussion of a chapter of a book by Murray Bookchin entitled Re-Enchanting Humanity. You can find the book here:

The chapter which we encourage you to read before attending the meeting is chapter seven, 'Postmodernist nihilism'.
After the discussion, we'll go down to the pub! Looking forward to seeing you there.
