FRIDAY DANCE DOSE | A Dance Embodiment Journey (( ecstatic dance ))

Friday Dance Dose is a freeform dance embodiment practice, sometimes called 'ecstatic dance', though all states of being are welcome (not only ecstatic). Come with your truth. Through the divining rod of our body, we are processing reality for ourselves and for the collective.

The music is an intuitively curated mix selected by our facilitators- something different each time. We gather together steeping in the medicine of the dance, feeling alive and allowing what wants to move, MOVE! We create a powerful, magical cauldron of healing that has tremendous ripple effects.

Move and dance with the music however your body is called to.. there are no steps to follow.. no right way to dance.

You may be drawn to be still at times or to dance wildly at other times... to dance solo or with others..

You may want to stay in one spot for a while or you may move all around the room...

You may resonate with the music, you may feel resistance. You are invited to move with whatever is present or arises in you.

Verbal cues from the facilitator are always suggestions only- you are your ultimate authority.

To keep the integrity of the space, please arrive on time. Show up with your curiosity and mindfulness, wearing comfortable clothes to move in and water to drink. Honor the sanctity of the space by not making or expecting romantic/sexual advances. Get consent before making physical contact.

Barefoot dancing, but if you need the extra support, you may wear special dance shoes (no shoes that you wear outside).

No chatting on the dance floor
No photos/videos in dance room and phones off
No alcohol/drug use.
Ages 18+ welcome.

Facilitation is by Leita Schiemann and Ryan Roman, alternating weeks.
