Fairy Falls - Waitakere Ranges

Details

Greetings Everyone - We will visit the re-opened Fairy Falls. We will walk the Cutty Grass Track and the Fairy Falls Track.

Some Words to Inspire You:
The Fairy Falls Track in Auckland's Waitākere Ranges is a beautiful, moderate hike that leads to a stunning multi-tiered waterfall. The track winds through lush native bush, with towering kauri trees, ferns, and vibrant birdlife creating a peaceful atmosphere. The highlight of the hike is the Fairy Falls, where water cascades down a series of rocky tiers, offering a perfect spot for rest and photos.

The trail includes some steep sections and stairs, making it a bit challenging, but the scenic views and natural beauty along the way make it well worth the effort. It's a popular escape for nature lovers.

Duration: About 3-4 hours hike including stops.
Distance: Approx 12-14 km.
Difficulty: 2.5 on our 1-5 scale for day hikes.
