Government House - Auckland

Details

Greetings Everyone - On Thursday we have the rare opportunity to tour the Auckland Government House Gardens.

Sadly the Governor General or the King will not be able to attend.

Only 15 people can attend.

Some Words to Inspire You:
Visiting the Auckland Government House gardens offers a serene escape into lush landscapes and historic charm. These beautifully maintained gardens surround the official residence of New Zealand's Governor-General and are open to the public on select days.

Strolling through, visitors can enjoy vibrant flowerbeds, ancient trees, and elegant sculptures. Highlights include the formal rose garden, native plantings, and expansive lawns that provide lovely views of Auckland’s cityscape.
The gardens offer a peaceful setting, blending heritage and natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely walk, photography, or simply soaking in the atmosphere of one of Auckland’s historic gems.

Duration: About 1-2 hours walking including stops.
Distance: Approx 3-5 km.
Difficulty: 1.5 on our 1-5 scale for day hikes.
