Greetings Everyone - Join us this Wednesday Evening for our Summer Series of short city walks. Today we will be walking to the Orakei Train Station
Words to Inspire you:
A summer evening walk from Auckland’s Maritime Museum to Orakei Bay Village via Tamaki Drive offers a picturesque journey along the city’s stunning waterfront. Starting at the bustling Viaduct Harbour, the path winds along the coast with expansive views of the Waitematā Harbour and Rangitoto Island.
As you stroll along Tamaki Drive, enjoy the cooling sea breeze, the glow of the sunset, and the vibrant energy of walkers, cyclists, and beachgoers. The journey ends at Orakei Bay Village, where boutique shops and cozy cafes invite you to relax.
This scenic walk beautifully combines urban vibrancy with coastal tranquility.
Duration: About 90minutes hours walk including stops.
Distance: Approx 6 km.
Difficulty: 1.0 on our 1-5 scale for day hikes.

● Post-Hike Gathering (Optional): After our adventure, you're welcome to join us for some well-deserved relaxation and camaraderie at the Orakei Local Bar & Kitchen

Bring your AT Card for the return from Orakei Bay Village via the train.

17:15 - Good time to arrive at the Maritime Museum
17:30 - Introductions and start walking.

● Hike Description & Directions:
Starting from the Maritime Museum we walk along the waterfront to the Orakei Train Station/ Orakei Bay Village. We will return on the train.
