Board Game Society will feature its Holiday Game Day on Sat. Dec. 14 from 12-5pm at Boardwalk!

Nothing makes you think of the holidays more than sunbathing out amidst a few fallen leaves in November! Yes, it's been a bit warm this year, but that won't stop us from staying inside and having a Holiday Game Day!

The theme for this Game Day will be Giving and Gifts! Playing one or more games with such a theme will earn you five bonus tickets in our patented drawing (see below). The theme can be matched against the game's, well, theme, as well as the game's mechanics. Note that it has to be a distinct mechanic in the game, and not "I'll just give you all these great cards and maybe you'll be my friend." If you have a question about whether a game qualifies, send me a message and I'll be glad to check it out prior to the event.

This is our fifth quarterly (?) Game Day of the year--as such, prizes are limited this time around--in fact, there's currently only one! So, you'll want to play a theme game to improve your chances of winning.

Our Game Days are open to the public and feature all the all-ages "open" (as opposed to "scheduled") board gaming you can stand--bring your own games, buy games or choose games from Boardwalk's extensive library. Due to space considerations, don't block playing areas with games--consider leaving some in the car.
As an all-ages event, please follow Boardwalk's "watch your language" policy while parents keep their children well-behaved.

We will hold a drawing for one or more games at the end of the event (about 4:30pm). You get one (digital) ticket for attending, one for being new to a Game Day or bringing someone new, and five for playing a game matching the "Giving and Gifts" theme.
You must be present and wearing your BGS-provided name tag to be eligible. Winners will select games from the prize pool in the order their names are drawn--maximum one prize per person or household.
