- Moonchild SanellyAttenborough Centre for Creative Arts, Brighton
Moonchild Sanelly is clearly on her way to being a global superstar, so this is a great opportunity to see her in a lovely venue like this.
I wouldn't try to categorise her music, but the gig blurb says: "She soon established her own signature sound, self-described as ‘future-ghetto-funk’ veers between Amapiano, Gqom (South African sub-genres of house), grime, pop, house and R&B. With electrifying live shows and self-designed flamboyant outfits, she became a superstar on her home turf and soon found a global audience."
Her collab with Self Esteem, Big Man, was the earworm I had all summer.

The Attenborough Centre is on the Sussex Uni campus at Falmer, easy to get to by bus or train. I'll update with details of how to meet nearer the time.
- Cassandra JenkinsKomedia Brighton, Brighton
New York based American singer-songwriter, with an understated vocal style. Gideon Coe is a big fan - if you're a listener, that is hopefully recommendation enough.
New album "My Light, My Destroyer" will be out soon, but 2021's "An Overview on Phenomenal Nature" is a classic.
It looks like she's at The Great Escape, so look out for her there and come to a full show at Komedia!
YouTube channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/@CassandraJenkinsOfficial. Hard Drive and Ambiguous Norway are well worth a listen.
