Best of the rest: Bring your top book (max 2) for the year

Dear Bookologists,

It's the end of the year and as such its time to reflect. Due to the fact that we do themes, there are often well loved books that we would love to touch on, but that don't always fit with any topics up for discussion. I would love it if you bring your favorite or favorites (a maximum of two books per person simply due to the fact that time is a short commodity with our bookclub meetings) to share.

These favorite books can be of any genre and any length of book, please prepare the following talking points for each book:

1. Genre of book
2. Basic plot
3. Why you love the book
4. If possible, can you also Google the reviews online and see if others agreed or disagreed with your opinion

Also, and this is optional to partake in, but I would love to have a book swap at our end of year. So please pack in a book that you love (second hand preferably and in a readable but not perfect condition), ideally have it wrapped in any covering. All you have to do is write the name of the genre on the outside of the book's wrapping or announce it on the day. At the end of the meetup, I would like for everyone to ideally leave with one mystery book to enjoy over the holidays. (But its optional).

P.S. It goes without saying but you can't bring a book you've previously brought to a MeetUp to discuss as part of your best of the rest.
