Bonjour aspiring Francophones!
Are you ready to continue your French language adventure? This will be our language sprint for B1. Our B1 series in divided into 3 parts each has 50 lessons. Part 1 will start this month.
Things that you should already have a mastery in:

• Indicative Mood ( Present, Passe Compose, Imperfect, Futur, Imperative)
• Conditional Mood (Present)

Topics that we will tackle:

• Ability to express oneself in familiar situations and generally deal with unfamiliar ones.
• Understand the primary points of information regarding leisure, work, and school.
• Provide brief explanations for their plans and opinions and express their ambitions, future events, hopes, and dreams.

I used to teach university level french classes when I was working as a grad student at UCI. My specialization was in French Literature and Languages.
Each 2 hr session concentrates on a fundamental aspect of the language: Vocabulary, Communication Skills, Grammar, or Reading. All topics are selected for daily life applicability, adhering to CEFR B1 guidelines.
The sprint contains 49 lessons. Each lesson will not be repeated. This sprint shall meet 2x a week TTH at 7:00.
English would be limited and only used when necessary.

In A2.2, here's a glimpse of the skills you'll develop:

Reading: Easily decipher short texts on common topics, improving your ability to pinpoint specific information.
Speaking: Confidently handle simple tasks and social interactions, even when you're not leading the conversation.
Public Speaking: Articulately describe aspects of your life, including family, friends, work, and education, all in French.
Writing: Become proficient in crafting short messages, from quick notes to basic personal letters.

But A2.2 is more than just language skills:

• Enhanced Communication: Communicate in familiar situations, express opinions and desires simply, and participate in social exchanges on known topics.
• Expanded Vocabulary: Discuss your background, immediate environment, and everyday needs with a broader range of words.
• Improved Grammar: Dive deeper into French grammar, mastering past tenses, object pronouns, and imperative mood for instructions and advice.
• Advanced Reading and Listening Comprehension: Better grasp the main points in texts and speech related to work, school, and leisure.
• Writing Skills: Write simple, connected texts on familiar subjects, including personal letters detailing experiences and emotions.
• Cultural Understanding: Gain deeper insights into French culture, customs, and lifestyle, enhancing your interaction in French-speaking environments.
• Pronunciation and Speaking: Continue improving your pronunciation and fluency for more active participation in conversations.

By completing A2.2, you'll be equipped to navigate most situations encountered while traveling in French-speaking areas and describe experiences, dreams, and plans simply. You'll be able to explain opinions and plans briefly.

This lesson is for individuals that would like to sit in the DELF A1 in the near future. The DELF is divided into 4 parts: Oral Comprehension, Written Comprehension, Writing Production and Oral Production.

We are going to be working on Oral Production only. Each time slot is meant for a 1 on 1 and last for no more than 15 minutes.

Be prepare for 3 parts:

• Entretien : You will answer questions regarding your family, your likes, your activities etc.
• Echange d'informations : You will have to ask me question using key words which will be provided. EX PARC - EST-CE QUE VOUS AIMEZ ALLER AU PARC?
• Dialogue : Choose 2 scenarios and create a dialogue between you and me.
