Saturday Nite International Folk Dancing
Details
Come enjoy mostly line dancing and circle dancing from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Brittany, Armenia, Gypsies, the Arab countries and Israel. And a smattering from other countries/cultures. WE DO VERY FEW COUPLE DANCES so it's fine for you to come solo.
Dress comfortably. Bring comfortable shoes, ideally with leather or other smooth sole. (But some people dance in sneakers and are happy.)
If you are new to international folk dance be sure our DJ knows it so they can put lots of easy dances on, and people will teach you. ("C'mon in-this is easy!" or "You probably want to watch this a few weeks before you jump in.")
To find us: come in the main entrance at Twin Towers and ask the receptionist to point the way. Walk down the corridor, through the double-doors and follow the music. We begin dancing somewhere between 7.30 and 7.45P and do last dance some time between 9.45 and 10P.
We ask a donation of $10/person cash or whatever you can afford, to pay the room rent.
Please be certain the DJ has your email and phone, because occasionally we discover at the last minute that Twin Towers has double-booked our room!
Every week on Saturday
