📋 Meetup Agenda:

17:00 - 17:30 Mingling and food (let us know if you have allergies!)
17:30 - 17:40 Meetup start and introduction

17:40 - 18:25 - "Building a team-centric self-service solution in Kubernetes" by Aksel Skaar Leirvaag, Platform engineer on the Nova platform in Telenor Norway. Are your users intimidated by Terraform? Do you spend too much time assisting them in creating cloud infrastructure? In this talk, Aksel will show you how to build custom resources in Kubernetes by creating an abstraction layer over the tofu-controller, enabling the reuse of existing Terraform modules. Empower your teams to have ownership of their cloud resources, prevent disasters with guardrails, and save time by reducing the need to review pull requests. Join us to discover a more efficient way to manage cloud infrastructure.

18:25 - 18:30 - Break

18:30 - 19:15 - "How to manage anything with Kubernetes" by Alfred Tovsen Mo, Platform Engineer at Intility. Managing cloud infrastructure is becoming more complex with the increasing number of services and components. In this session, we'll learn how to streamline this using Kubernetes to manage your infrastructure. We'll first look at the challenges of modern infrastructure management and the need for a declarative framework. Then, we'll introduce Crossplane, a tool that extends Kubernetes' capabilities to manage infrastructure alongside applications.

19:15 - 19:30 - Informal look back at 2024 and some of the trends that have happened in the cloud native space by Emil Antoni Brasø, co-organizer at Cloud Native and Kubernetes Oslo meetup group.

19:30 - Meetup end.

Looking forward seeing you all there!😸
