Coffee & Create - November
Details
This is our original Coffee & Create meet-up at Mango Tree Coffee!
About:
This is an opportunity to unite and use our collective energy to inspire and create. Bounce ideas off each other, support each other, and have dedicated time and space for letting our artistic side flow. Please note that all creative types and levels are welcome! Whether you are just starting to explore your creative side or have been doing it for years, it is a wonderful experience of mindfulness, acceptance, natural flow, and inspiration. All creation is beautiful, and we are here to honor the practice and the journey.
Venue:
Mango Tree Coffee is a coffee shop on Broadway in Englewood! They have awesome coffee, tea, kombucha, pastries (gluten-free options), and food (vegetarian and vegan options). There is ample free parking BEHIND the venue!
Please consider supporting the venue with a purchase. They let us use the table for free. When you give, you receive!
Attendance Rules:
Due to table size, this meet-up is limited to 8 people. Please register only if you can attend and update your RSVP as soon as you are no longer able to attend. There is almost always a waitlist, so please be considerate and give other people your spot if you have new obligations!
Registration opens two weeks before the event date to give everyone a fair chance to register. Mark your calendars! Also, getting waitlisted can sometimes automatically bump you into a "yes" RSVP if someone else drops - please check back within 24 hours of the event to ensure your RSVP status.
I have a strict no-show policy. If you no-show twice, you are removed and banned from the group. A no-show is considered a "Yes" RSVP and does not show up without contacting me or other organizers. I get it - life happens, people get sick, emergencies, etc. Just send a note or update your RSVP - it takes seconds to be respectful.
Additionally, the following behaviors will result in a removal and ban from the group:
- Repeated last-minute cancellations of RSVPs (multiple times consecutively, or a majority of your RSVPs are canceled the day before)
- Using this group beyond its intended purpose of getting together, crafting, and enjoying conscious time together, please refrain from using it to recruit customers, promote your services, find love, etc. You may casually mention your small business or profession, and sometimes people meet at these events that result in relationships. However, if it is blatantly obvious that you are soliciting these, it will result in a warning, and continued behavior will result in a removal from the group.
- Drama and excessive negativity. Everyone has a bad day; it happens. And this meet-up could be the thing that lifts your spirits. This group intends to bring people together, inspire each other, and create with our collective positive energy. Excessive complaining, negativity, drama, and poor attitude will result in a warning, and continued behavior will result in a removal from the group.
What to Bring:
- Please bring your own art and craft supplies. Unless specified in the event, no spare materials will be provided.
- Please bring crafts that will not damage furniture. If you are working with paint or glue, bring a silicone craft mat. You can buy one on Amazon. They're travel-friendly and great for use at home.
- There is no electricity to the table, so anything that requires a plug-in should stay at home.
- Lighting is not the best, so if you need a light source, please bring a battery-powered or rechargeable option!
- Reusable cup for your coffee/tea/drink.
- A positive, accepting, and loving attitude!
Final Note:
Meetup.com has doubled the cost for organizers to run groups. Since its inception, this group has been - and continues to be - free for attendees. Please consider donating via the Meetup.com platform to keep this group running.
I look forward to getting together and sharing our creative energy!
