"The heart is the center of wholeness. It’s the union of opposites; where the polarities come together and meet as one. It’s where the duality of positive and negative charges merge, equalize, and unify. It’s the center of a magnet.
The heart is where elevated emotions like love are born. It is the bridge to the divine within.
When the heart is activated with energy and attention, it has its own unique consciousness. And when we feel emotions like gratitude, appreciation, love, kindness, care, inspiration, generosity, and compassion – a host of physiological changes take place in the body. These emotional states generate a new energy that tends to be healing.
Our research shows that two things happen in the body when the heart is open and activated and we’re feeling heart-centered emotions. First, the energy in the heart is directed to the brain, informing the brain to move into a calm and creative state of alpha brainwave patterns. Also, the heart begins to beat in a more coherent and rhythmic state – which causes it to emit a measurable, energetic, magnetic field around the body. That field surrounds the body in a cocoon-like way. And now, with the heart activated and energized, the body releases energy into its own field. That’s the energy we use to heal.
When the heart is coherent, it naturally changes the body’s physiology from a state of survival and stress to a state of creation. And when the heart informs the brain, the two work in synchronicity. Relaxed in the heart; awake in the brain – the perfect state to open the door between the conscious mind and subconscious mind; the space that allows your autonomic nervous system to receive new information. Relaxed and awake – the state in which we create. The state in which we heal.
A short (30-minute), immersive, lying-down meditation, “Love Your Body” was created to help you activate your heart center with tender attention; deep, slow breathing; and elevated emotions. Once your heart is opened and activated, you can then focus your attention and energy on a specific part of your body that needs love, care, and healing – and, synchronizing it with the heart’s coherent energy, bring it to resonant wholeness and health.
When you activate and elevate the energy and emotions of your heart and connect to an area of your body with that heart-centered energy – entraining it to the same frequency – you can raise that part of your body back to health and love it back into life.
